1. Acceptance of terms
By using the Koki app or kokiafrique.com website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Description of service
Koki is an African recipe mobile application available on iOS and Android. It provides authentic African recipes in French and English, accessible offline.
3. User accounts
Account creation is optional. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your credentials and all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating the account.
4. Recipe submissions
By submitting a recipe via the Koki app, you:
- Grant Koki a licence to display, reproduce and distribute your submitted recipe in the app and on kokiafrique.com.
- Confirm that you are the author of the recipe or have the right to submit it.
- Understand that your display name will be publicly associated with the recipe if approved.
5. Prohibited conduct
It is prohibited to:
- Submit false information in recipes
- Post offensive, illegal or misleading content
- Use the service for spam or unauthorized marketing
- Attempt to circumvent the app's security systems
- Create fake accounts or use fictitious identities
6. Intellectual property
Koki Originals: The Koki Originals recipe database, including original text and structured data, is owned by Koki. Some recipe images come from Wikimedia Commons or other open-license or public-domain sources, and remain subject to their original licenses and credits. Koki does not claim ownership of third-party images. See image credits.
Community recipes: Recipes submitted by contributors remain the intellectual property of the contributors. Koki receives only a display licence (see §4).
Koki trademark: The name “Koki”, the bean logo, and the visual identity of the application are Koki brand assets.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Koki is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Koki service. Recipes are provided for informational purposes only — Koki is not responsible for culinary results.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any dispute shall be subject to the competent jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
